Since moving to Pennsville from Penns Grove I was hesitant to believe I would find as good of a Chinese food place as Lucky House, but The Orient does excellent. LOVE that their crab rangoons are savory instead of that sweet cream cheese, and the pineapple chicken is chefs kiss.
Fantastic food. BYOB and the service is great. Lovely eating in, or taking out. Overall fantastic experience.
Under new ownership their food is PHENOMENAL! We normally call in for takeout so I can't speak for the restaurant experience or the waitstaff but the front desk service is fast, friendly, and efficient. It's a very popular place and always very busy but they expedite the orders very quickly. We will continue to patronize this place in the future for sure!
I'm not from around here but my mom has been here before and we were up this way so we decided to stop here and check it out. I was very skeptical about going because of how the outside of the building looked and knowing how it is back home. But they say never judge a book by its cover and wow was I wrong! The food was absolutely amazing, the waiter was absolutely amazing! I don't think I've ever had Chinese food this good! You could really taste the authentic Chinese culture in the food and it was honestly to die for! 10/10 recommend! I'll definitely drive out of my way to go to this place again!

I've lived in 5 or 6 states and this is still the best Chinese I've had anywhere. I'm partial to the Orient because I worked there for a longtime but I think that alone says a lot. Best General Tso's, best chicken or pork with garlic sauce. All the soup is great. Cold noodle with hot sauce are delicious. Crispy prawns with walnuts for a little spicy, shrimp with fruit sauce for a little sweet. Pineapple chicken and lemon chicken are both great, as is the tangerine chicken. You really can't go wrong with the orient. All of their appetizers are good as well.
